As standards change and communications infrastructure systems become more complex, and as these systems are in a constant state of flux (adds, moves, and changes), organizations need to enhance or upgrade their systems. Unfortunately, the process becomes increasingly difficult and costly due mainly to poor designs, poor installations, and predominantly poor documentation. Enormous amounts of money is wasted on work that was not installed properly and on work that is redundant. This is quite a shame as the vast majority of these problems can be eliminated (prevented) through efficient and accurate:
· installed base detailed discovery and documentation
· detailed infrastructure design from a standards and codes knowledge base
· detailed installation management and inspection
· invoice to installation review
